New Bison™ herbicide competes with Liquid Acheive®
Calgary, AB—Makhteshim Agan of North America, Canada Ltd. (MANA Canada),
has announced the registration of Bison 400L™. This is the first time that the active ingredient tralkoxydim
has been introduced into the Canadian market since Liquid Achieve. Bison is registered for use in wheat
(spring, winter and durum), barley and rye. It delivers excellent control of Persian darnel, wild oats and foxtail,
but at a fair price.
"Producers can tackle Persian darnel, wild oats and foxtail with Bison. It’s a great herbicide for wheat and barley. We believe marketplace competition is good for all producers and retailers and MANA is once again delivering an alternative to that marketplace,” said Dale Kushner, Canadian Commercial Business Manager for MANA Canada. “Bison is going to be available from leading retailers and sold at a fair price as we don’t believe in the complex, bundled pricing packages that some other manufacturers use."
Bison contains the active ingredient tralkoxydim, and provides exceptional Persian darnel, wild oat and green foxtail control in wheat and barley, with low application rates. Bison is available in a 40 acre case that contains an 8 litre jug of Bison and an 8 litre jug of Addit adjuvant.
