Why Ladder? Ladder is a Group 1 herbicide that contains the ACCase inhibitor clodinafop. Absorbed quickly by the leaves, clodinafop rapidly moves to the growing points of leaves and stems. Grassy weeds stop growing within 48 hours after coverage. Complete control, depending on growing conditions, crop competition, and species of weed, will occur within 14 to 21 days.

Group 1 mode of action: Use Group 1 herbicides in spring wheat and durum, and save other Groups for pulse, oilseed and other crops.

Wide window of application: Apply when grassy weeds are anywhere from the 1 to 5 leaf stage, prior to the emergence of the fourth tiller. To control volunteer oats, apply at the 3 to 6 leaf stage. For wild oats, apply at the 1 to 6 leaf stage, up to emergence of the fourth tiller.

Tank-mixable for easy weed control: Ladder is tank-mixable with nearly 30 broadleaf herbicides to provide one-pass weed control.

Easy to use: Ladder is conveniently packaged in either a 40-acre case that contains 3.68 litres of Ladder and 6.4 litres of XA Oil Concentrate™ or 4 litres of MANA Adjuvant 80, or a 120-acre case that contains 11.04 litres of Ladder and 12 litres of MANA Adjuvant 80.

Application and Use Guidelines

Crop staging: Apply Ladder to spring wheat and durum, anywhere from the 1 to 6 leaf stage, prior to the emergence of the fourth tiller. Check broadleaf product descriptions for additional restrictions when tank-mixing.

Target correct rates for weed control: For green and yellow foxtail, barnyard grass, volunteer canaryseed, and wild and volunteer oats, apply 93 mL/acre (40 acres/ case) of Ladder. For Persian darnel, apply 115 mL/acre (32 acres/case) of Ladder.

Cover ground fast: For ground application, use a water volume of 20 to 40 L/acre. If using greater than 20 L/acre of water, additional adjuvant (MANA Adjuvant 80, Score®, Assist®, XA Oil Concentrate) must be added. Consult label for details. For aerial application, water volume is 12 L/acre (3 gallons/acre).

Mixing instructions: When using a tank-mix partner, add the tank-mix herbicide first. Check both labels for further tank mixing instructions.
